Filmmaker Omar Lulu is the latest to extend his support for the ‘Oru Muthassi Gadha’ fame. In his post sharing Rajini Chandy’s throwback pics from decades ago, in which she can be seen effortlessly carrying off bikinis and other stylish costumes, Omar writes, “To those who said ‘what’s up with her at this age,’ the throwback photos are major blows to you, left, right and centre.” He also makes a humorous observation that her response also hinted that even before her ‘trollers’ grew up, she would have been used to such costumes.
In a recent chat with us, Rajini Chandy had said that she never thought people would even be interested in her photoshoot. She said, “I didn’t expect such a reaction. I decided to do the shoot as a motivation for elderly people and prove to them that they still can enjoy their life in the way they want. For that, I don’t know why people are making such negative comments. If you don’t like the pictures, ignore it. What is the need for making such offensive comments? A group of people who don’t even know me are making negative comments about me. Why don’t they use that time for their own family or do something good for society?”
Apparently, when photographer Athira suggested the idea, Rajini asked her to consult with her husband. “He said I can do anything I want if I am comfortable with it. There are many elderly people who selflessly dedicated their youth for their kids and missed their good times. With this photoshoot, I wanted to prove to them that there is enough charm left in them. Life is short, we don’t know what will happen the next minute, enjoy it to fullest without repenting later,” she said.
