I’ve always looked up to Wonder Woman; would love to play a similar role soon: Gulki Joshi

Growing up we often find ourselves looking up to some kind of a superhero to draw strength, motivation, and dedication in our toughest times. And seems like actor Gulki Joshi has been in awe of Wonder Woman all her life. Gulki shares, “I’ve always looked up to Wonder Woman as she’s been my favorite superhero and it has helped me a lot in adding nuances to my character of a tough cop Haseena Malik in
Maddam Sir. Initially, I found playing the role of a cop very challenging as your body language automatically changes and so do your mannerisms. It took me time and effort to get it right, but once I got it right, it seemed all worth it. Wearing the
khakhi made me feel very confident just like how Diana does when she dons the Wonder Woman suit.”

For Gulki acting was never really her first choice of career, “Honestly, I never thought I would become an actor. In fact, during my growing up years I was keen on becoming a doctor. But that didn’t last and I thought of becoming a lawyer or even a cop. It was a little later in my life that I thought I must give acting a chance, as I can portray all these roles and more as often as possible.
