This might come as a surprise amidst the nepotism debate, where kids hailing from film families are blamed at being a part of close knit, inner circles consisting of Bollywood folks, but Pranutan has a valid reasoning. “The thing is that I grew up in South Mumbai. So, I was away from the film circuit. I did not have any friends from the film families, as nobody as such was part of my neighbourhood,” says the actress while talking to BT.
While the Notebook actress grew up in town, majority of the film families hail from suburban Mumbai. Now that she’s stepped into showbiz, Pranutan says that friendships don’t form over-night, and so she hasn’t yet found a bestie around.
She signs off explaining, “Friendship is formed over the years and not instantly. Till date I am close to my school and college friends. They are not from the industry and help me keep grounded.”
