Released in 2016, ‘Nannaku Prematho’ will be completing five years at the ticket counters as on January 13th which happens to be Wednesday. The 30-year-old actress went the extra mile for her role of Divya and dubbed for herself, her first in Telugu cinema. Besides looking drop-dead gorgeous in the film and matching the energy levels of NTR in all songs, she nailed it in the meaty role and proved that she is more than an eye-candy.
After the lockdown, Rakul Preet kicked-off her post-quarantine work in September with Krish Jagarlamudi’s untitled project and shot for close to 40 days in the hinterlands of Telangana. For the first time in her career, she is going de-glam for the village belle role who is a shepherd. Besides a bunch of South films like Check and Indian 2, she is playing a co-pilot alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Ajay Devgn in ‘Mayday’, starring in John Abraham’s ‘Attack’ and romancing Sidharth Malhotra in ‘Thank God.’ She is also romancing Arjun Kapoor in the cross-border love story titled as ‘Sardar & Grandson’.
