Rani got married to Gaurav Mukesh, her co-actor from her debut show Suhani Si Ek Ladki. Talking about her husband Gaurav, who she met in 2014 on the set, she shares, “Since we have worked together in the show Suhani Si Ek Ladki, we knew each other quite well. So there was a great bond and I never felt that someone new has become a part of my life. The best part about getting married is having a companion at all times and someone to share life’s ups and downs with. When I get late returning home, there is someone at home who checks on me. Also, now I don’t have to worry about grocery shopping after I go back home tired from the shoot. If Gaurav is back home or he is on a break, he will take care of it. In fact, if he reaches home before me, he prepares even tea for me. These little things make me really happy.”
The humble actress became popular for her role as Suhani for which she received huge recognition. Currently, she is seen in Namak Issk Ka, as bhabhi Roopa. “Initially, I was a bit apprehensive about doing a show where I had to play ‘bhabhi’, but at the same time I realised that I need to explore other roles too, especially after lockdown, when getting work was a challenge. Also I waited quite long for a good role, so there was no point to keep waiting and doing nothing. Now, I love the character more than anything. Also, I have previously worked with a few people who are also a part of this show. So, there was a kind of comfort level.” No matter what role she plays in the future, Suhani’s character will always remain special for her. “I call it my first love which gave me name as well as fame. Even today, a lot of my friends, co-actors, and family members call me Suhani.”
