Talking about the reason for exiting the show, Ruslaan tells us, “We were trying to work out the dates. But I guess, it’s not manageable and hence, the makers of the TV show have had to take this decision. I had already signed for a web series and had allotted my dates to them. Despite trying my best, it was impossible to squeeze in another project. I am obviously upset, as the role of Shiv is quite exciting and I was looking forward to dabbling in the fantasy genre.”
The actor is also upset about not being able to work with producer Dheeraj Kumar. He shares, “Dheeraj sir and my family go back a long way. My mother (Anjana Mumtaz) was his first heroine. It was my long-standing wish to work with him and I was excited about everything falling into place. I got offers from his production house earlier, but somehow things didn’t work out. Unfortunately, this, too, fell through. I hope that I get to work with him soon.”
Dheeraj Kumar adds, “Ruslaan is a very good actor. Unfortunately, he couldn’t manage his dates and we couldn’t postpone our schedule. It’s an occupational hazard…something which couldn’t be sorted. He has immense respect for me and I am fond of him, too. He touched my feet when he met me for the first time. Apart from working with his mother, my wife and his father have worked together for an airline. So, it’s a long association. I look forward to collaborating with him in the future.”
