Trisha was last seen in Telugu in the dubbed version of Petta in 2019 and Nayaki in 2016. Her Tamil film 96 was so widely watched, it was remade in Telugu as Jaanu with Samantha reprising her role. Trisha rose to fame with films like Varsham, Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana, Pournami, Athadu and Namo Venkatesa before switching her work completely to Tamil films. She also recently ventured out into Malayalam cinema and fans await her return to Telugu cinema. Trisha was supposed to make a comeback with Koratala Siva’s Acharya, starring opposite Chiranjeevi, however the actress opted out due to creative differences. Kajal Aggarwal replaced her in the film.
