This is undoubtedly the most special film in Samantha’s career as she made the audience sit up and take notice with a flawless performance as Jessy. She also married Chay years after the film’s release, making her love story off-screen seem like a fairytale too.

In the video, she says, “Cinema has always been my first love and there’s no doubt about it. Happy anniversary to me and to you, who has joined me on this journey. I couldn’t have done it without you. I think we have made so many memories, it has been really special so far.” Ye Maaya Chesave was directed by Gautam Vasudev Menon, who recently completed 20 years in the film industry, and hit screens on February 26, 2010.
Samantha will soon be seen in Gunasekhar’s mythological drama Shaakunthalam. The film is currently in pre-production.
