Shruti has made a mark with her acting skills and she ventured into the music industry, too. In fact, even amid the pandemic, she has been a part of virtual concerts. And her father has been quite supportive in her endeavours. “It’s a bond that we share that’s so special — a creative bond. He’s always supported my music and believes in it, and all his advice has been more creative. Hard work, discipline and constantly exercising the creative mind are lessons I learnt from him and continue to follow,” the actress said during an interview with Bombay Times. “I always get advice from him that has held me in good stead. He doesn’t really get into my career that much as it’s been quite a separate journey, but he has reprimanded me in the past about how I can improve as a person,” she added.
While talking about her journey in the entertainment industry, Shruti shared, “I chose music but I feel acting chose me. Music was my soul journey and acting enhanced that, and became the central focus of my expression and connection to people. Today, I can’t separate and categorise, that one gives me more joy than the other. I feel truly blessed to be able to do both in this life.”
