The film will also mark the first collaboration between John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi. Talking about it John said, “Emraan has been probably one of the fantastic co-stars you can have as an actor and as a human being. I have always been a fan of him for the films that he has done. Mujhe yaad hain I was driving back from Chandigarh and I was looking for my songs and the only song I could found was Emraan Hashmi rocks volume 1 and volume 2. I realised Emraan Hashmi has got more hits than all the heroes put together in the industry. But leaving that aside, he is very intense. He is a good human being. I would love to work with him again because not only I’m a fan of him as an actor but also as a human being. The way he has done his role and job in this film is absolutely outstanding.”
Meanwhile, Emraan added, “It’s a mutual admiration here. I have the utmost respect for John. we have known each other for a very long. So, what really works big time for me is when an actor comes on time to the set and John is always on time. He is always involved and yeh jo character hain Amartya Rao ka I can’t see any other actor playing it because with such honesty he has played this role.”
“And as far as a human being, people generally don’t know about John. When my son fell sick I had got two calls from the industry. Although we were not close at that time, I remember ICU k bahar baitha tha and John ka phone aya and he said, “Emraan if you need anything I’m always there”. And, that really moved me. We don’t talk about these things but this is a true character of a person.”
Actor Gulshan Grover was also spotted praising John for his simplicity during the event.
The film was initially slated to release on June 19, 2020, but was postponed to March 19, 2021, owing to the pandemic.
