The film’s director Zak tells Kochi Times, “Apart from Narain, the Malayalam version of the movie has Joju George and Sharaf U Dheen, who will be playing Kathir’s role. The pooja function of the drama thriller was held in Chennai on Saturday and both the Tamil and Malayalam films are being shot simultaneously. The story is set in Chennai and Kochi, and so it made sense to make it a bilingual. Of course, there would be a few changes in the story to adapt it the sensibilities of the audience of both industries.”
While Athmiya Rajan and Anandi will be present in both the versions, another actress will be cast to play Anukreethy Vas’ part in Malayalam, says Zak. Prathap Pothen, John Vijay, Zinil Zainuddin and Vinodini are also part of the cast of the multi-starrer, which has music composed by Ranjin Raj.
In an earlier interview with Chennai Times, Zak said, “It’s a fictionalised account of a few incidents that happen in our society. We want to convey a realistic message, which the audience will be able to relate to.”
