In a chat with us, Suresh tells us, “There are certain things in life that really amaze us. This was one such moment for me. I’ve always loved Vasantabalan’s work and have seen his movies. Once I got out of the reality show, I got a call from his executive producer regarding the film. I was surprised and happy to be on board. Vasantabalan spoke about my stint in the show and my appearance in Start Music. Though I cannot reveal any details regarding the film, I can say that he has given me a beautiful role.” The actor joined the team two days ago. “I’ve always enjoyed being in Balu Mahendra’s film set — it would be so peaceful. Being in this set reminds me of that. Vasantabalan gives a lot of space to his actors and gets the best out of us. I feel blessed to be working with directors like him,” he says.
On his co-stars, he says, “I had scenes with a couple of actors yesterday and my main schedule will begin in March. They are very cooperative. Arjun Chidambaram is my personal director (laughs). He ensures I wear a mask all the time.” Apart from this, Suresh is also shooting for a Kannada film with Rockline Venkatesh and two Telugu films — one with Krishna Vamsi and another with director Vikram’s associate. “When it comes to acting, no matter how much we think we know, it is always a learning experience on the set. But I am happy to keep pace with the youngsters,” Suresh laughs, and adds, “I have also signed three more Tamil films.”
