When Yashraj Mukhate realised that Rasode Mein Kaun Tha video has gone viral: I saw Smriti Irani shared my video and Anurag Kashyap sir messaged, ‘Good work’

Content creator Yashraj Mukhate became an overnight sensation when he created a meme on Saath Nibhaana Saathiya’s kitchen scene titled ‘Rasode Me Kaun Tha’. While the meme spread like a wildfire, giving birth to more memes on the meme, create Yashraj came into the limelight.

Celebs from the entertainment industry and from all walks of life were enjoying the video. The creator didn’t realise that it would go viral. In a conversation with the social media page Humans of Bombay, he shared, “I saw Kokila Ben’s video–I worked on the audio for a day & posted it online the next day. I switched off my phone after, I had to work on a deliverable. When I switched it on in the evening, it was ringing off the hook! Smriti Ma’am shared my video, Anurag Kashyap sir DM’d me saying, ‘Good work’! It was a lot to process. Aai immediately got a kala dhaga & tied it on my wrist! Finally Aai-Baba saw my work!”

He adds, “My friends still laugh about the fact that out of everything, it’s the ‘rasoda video’ that went viral; but life is unpredictable!”

He further shared how from creating content, his phone kept buzzing for interviews. Yashraj said, “For a week, I didn’t sleep. It was all so new, I said ‘yes’ to everything–from interviews to collaborations. I was clueless & didn’t want to come across as rude. I was even invited to Lil Champs. Vishal Bhardwaj Sir & I worked on a song together; he wanted to work with me.”

Yashraj also created videos on Bigg Boss 13 contestant Shehnaaz Gill, which also went viral. Currently, his ‘Pawri’ creation has gone viral on the Internet.
