The Dil Mil Gaye actor shares, “To be honest I was just 21 when I got married and my partner was around seven years older than me. My family wasn’t too keen with the alliance but I still went ahead and took the gigantic step, as I was naïve.”
Quiz him about the qualities he’s looking for in his partner and Pankit quickly says, “Over the years I’ve observed that those who don’t share a comfortable and a happy rapport with their parents are incapable of loving someone wholeheartedly. So having a great rapport with their parents is a prime requirement. Apart from this, I’m looking for someone who is an optimist, compassionate, and shouldn’t be money-minded and selfish who always put their needs first.”
With International Women’s Day just around the corner, we asked Pankit about the most important woman in his life and how it has helped him to become a better person. “A woman’s presence is important in a man’s life as it helps him to become a better person. Unfortunately, when I was young I lost my mother. Though my father tried his best to give me everything, I missed her presence during my growing-up years. Although I have a younger sister, we couldn’t give our relationship much time as she got married young and I shifted to Mumbai after my mom’s death. With even my marriage notwithstanding the test of time, I think I’m still looking for that woman who will change my life for the better someday.”
