Actress Deepshika Nagpal, currently seen in the show Ranju Ki Betiyaan as Lalita shares her happiness over the fact that women of all age groups are now being offered good roles to perform. “I am glad that over time women’s roles have changed in both television and films. Earlier films were male-dominated but that has now changed. Television was always women-oriented. However now women are not on screen to add glamour but are there to perform irrespective of their age, for instance, Neena Gupta in Badhaai Ho. Now all age groups have good roles to perform. In my current show, I am married and have children but I do have my life, it doesn’t just revolve around my husband and kids. The story is real and like a regular, normal house. I am happy that the writers are writing such stories and the audience is liking them. Women have now substantial roles and I am glad to be a part of it,” she says.
