The first round of questioning of Taapsee and Anurag Kashyap concluded on Wednesday, however, the income tax department has not ruled out the possibility of another round of interrogation. Meanwhile, the searches of the homes of the celebs including Madhu Manttena Vikas Bahl, Anurag Kashyap, Afsar Zaidi, and Kwan talent management agency will continue for the next three days.
The IT officials landed up on the sets of ‘Do Baaraa’ in Pune which is being directed by Kashyap and stars Taapsee in the lead.
Sources in the IT department said that the searches may go on for the next three days, they have started collecting evidence of all kinds, including digital evidence.
An IT department source related to the probe told IANS that the searches are going on at the premises of these Bollywood personalities in connection with some “tax evasion” matter. The source pointed out that there are some inter-linked transactions between these entities.
“Searches are aimed at gathering more evidence to further probe the tax evasion allegations,” the source added.
The source, however, refused to share further details of the case. He said that the agency sleuths are also questioning Kashyap and Pannu in connection with the matter.
An IT department official related to the probe wishing anonymity said that the tax department will summon them for questioning after scrutinising the documents recovered during the searches in the coming days.
However, officials of the I-T department remained tightlipped on the searches at the premises of Phantom Films.
