Mohanlal is working on the pre-production of ‘Barroz – Guardian of D’Gama’s Treasure’

Mohanlal’s maiden directorial venture ‘Barroz – Guardian of D’Gama’s Treasure’ is expected to go on floors in a few days and the actor seems to be pretty occupied with the pre-production work. The film is produced by Antony Perumbavoor of Aashirvad Cinemas and they have now shared pictures of Mohanlal having discussions with his crew about the film. Interestingly Prithviraj Sukumaran too was spotted along with the team. A picture of Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran having a conversation is making rounds on social media.

National award-winning production designer Santhosh Raman too was present with the team. As Mohanlal is trying his hands at direction with ‘Barroz – Guardian of D’Gama’s Treasure’, cinephiles have huge expectations about the film. The film is touted to be a fantasy film and is in 3D. ‘Barroz – Guardian of D’Gama’s Treasure’ is an adaptation of a story by Jijo Punnoose, in the same name. Jijo Punnoose is best known for making ‘My Dear Kuttichathan’, India’s first 3D film. He is also the first person in South Indian cinema to make a film (Padayottam) in 70 mm format. Ace cinematographer Santosh Sivan will be cranking the lens, while child prodigy Lydian Nadhaswaram is composing the music. Actors Rafael Amargo and Paz Vega will play the characters of Vasco Da Gama and his wife respectively in the film.
