Nadiya Moidu too has now joined the shoot of the film, which is expected to be another mass entertainer from writer-director Amal Neerad. The actress shared an Instagram video of her flight arriving at Kochi and made the announcement that she was flying down for the shoot. She is also acting in a couple of Telugu films, including the recently announced Drushyam 2 – the remake of Drishyam – in which she plays IG Geetha Prabhakar, the senior officer whose son has been killed.
The shoot of Bheeshma Parvam started on February 21, and it also has Soubin, Shine Tom Chacko, Sreenath Bhasi and Lena as part of the cast. Fahadh Faasil, who starred in the director’s earlier film Varathan, and Nazriya were present when the shoot kicked off. Not many details have been released on the film, except from reports that Mammootty plays a gangster.
It was anticipated that Amal Neerad and Mammootty would next collaborate on Bilal, the sequel to the 2007 film Big B, which had the superstar play a Fort Kochi don, but the film was put on hold because of the pandemic. The film is co-written with Devadath Shaji. The DoP is Anend C Chandran and editing is by Vivek Harshan. Music is composed by Sushin Shyam.
