Talking about it, he said, “It was such a pleasant surprise to be acting again with my former co-star and friend, Shruti Ulfat. When we met on the sets of this special episode, we realised that we were shooting together after 11 years. The last time we had worked together was in Shah Rukh Khan‘s production, Ishaan- Sapno Ko Awaaj De. I was also happy to work again with Sudha Chandran
ji after 17 long years. The last show I did with her was in 2004 in which she played my mother. It really felt like a mini reunion on the sets. While it is always nice to work with new co-stars, having old friends around is always a bonus. It makes work easier and comfortable. Earlier, we would all bump into each other at social events, but due to the pandemic all that has stopped.”
So, how was 2020 for him? “It was a terrible year for everyone. Because the lockdown was extended a number of times, no one knew what to expect. But I guess we all became part of history and we survived this phase. We came out stronger and thankfully coronavirus didn’t touch me. I am glad to be back on the sets now,” he signed off.
