The official remake of Bollywood film ‘Pink’, Vakeel Saab is directed by Venu Sriram of ‘MCA’ fame and jointly bankrolled by Dil Raju and Boney Kapoor. While Nivetha Thomas is stepping into the shoes of Taapsee Pannu, Anjali and Ananya Nagalla are reprising the roles of Kirti Kulhari and Andrea Tariang from the original Hindi film. Shruti Haasan is reprising the role of Vidya Balan from the Tamil remake of Pink titled ‘Nerkonda Paarvai’.
While Thiru has penned the dialogues for Vakeel Saab, PS Vinod handled the camera and SS Thaman composed the music. Initially scheduled for a massive release in summer 2020, the film got postponed to 2021 following the outbreak of coronavirus and the subsequent lockdown. After a gap of eight long months, Pawan resumed the shoot in the first week of November and shot all the portions that require him in quick succession.
Meanwhile, while the first song ‘Maguva Maguva’ emerged as a chartbuster in no time, the teaser of VS offered a glimpse of Pawan Kalyan kicking some serious ass which indeed promises quite a few whistle-worthy moments in the film. Sporting a bearded look, the 49-year-old actor is introduced as a world-weary lawyer and after a fascinating moment in the court, he unleashes his action side.
