“The story happens in the night and is set in a forest. It chronicles a road trip, spanning around 200km, in the periphery of a forest. We come across selfish characters in our lives. This script, too, has such people. A night’s travel can change anything; it can test your integrity. The film will be a thorough edge-of-the-seat thriller.”
Ask him why he chose Vetri and he says, “He has a boy-next-door appeal. I love his script sense and he has given some fantastic performances. This film doesn’t need a ‘hero’ in that sense and there is no action sequence as well. In fact, the dialogues, too, are limited. I wanted someone who can express with his eyes and felt Vetri would be an apt choice. He is someone who can look rugged, yet innocent, and pull off a guilty face, all at the same time. I watched his earlier films at least 10 times to observe his mannerisms. Alexander, who is backing the film, too, felt he could carry off this character.”
Shyam, who comes from an advertising background, informs us that Vetri will be seen in a different avatar. “We are in the process of finalising the rest of the cast. We plan to start shoot by the end of June or latest by the first week of July. The film will be shot in Bangalore, Pollachi and Courtallam,” he signs off.
