Arshi says, “I’m still physically weak and was craving for nice homemade food. After living alone for so many weeks, I wanted to be around my family and get back my energy. I’m glad that I came to Bhopal because I have already started feeling much better here. Earlier, I thought I would have to celebrate Eid alone, but now that I am here, it makes me so happy to celebrate the festival with my loved ones. What’s interesting is that my mother has stitched my Eid outfit, which I will wear today. Even if we are unable to go out and buy new things, we can still celebrate Eid. The festival has great significance in our lives.”
The actress couldn’t continue her fasts during Ramzan after testing positive for COVID-19. She says, “I was fasting, but after testing positive, I had to give it up. However, I continued offering my prayers.”
Arshi feels that Eid is all about kindness. “Eid teaches us to be social. And right now, we are all struggling with the pandemic, so we need to be more responsible. I’m trying my best to arrange festive food for people in need with fresh fruits and juices. Food holds great importance in Eid celebrations.”
