“As soon as Balakrishna garu found out that there was a shortage of medicines for COVID patients, he immediately decided to send medicines worth Rs 20 lakh to Hindupur in Andhra Pradesh. The COVID kits have been successfully handed to the relatives of the patients, who profusely thanked Balakrishna for his support during tough times,” said a source close to the actor.
Meanwhile the actor is awaiting the release of his upcoming film Akhanda, in which he will be seen in a larger-than-life avatar. The film is being directed by Boyapati Sreenu and this is the third collaboration between the duo. The film was slated for a May 28 release but has been postponed due to the pandemic.
