To be mounted on a hefty budget, Bimbisara is directed by debutant director Mallidi Vashista. While Chota K Naidu is cranking the camera, Chirantan Bhatt is composing the music and Anil Paduri is supervising the VFX part. It is bankrolled by Kalyanram under NTR Arts.
According to reports, the socio-fantasy casts Samyuktha Menon as a journalist and Catherine Tresa essaying the role of a warrior queen. An official confirmation regarding the same is still awaited from the makers. Kalyanram is rumoured to play dual roles in the film that has two timelines – the 13th century and the present. He will be reportedly seen as an infamous conqueror and a modern youth. The shooting is expected to resume once the ongoing situation gets back into normalcy.
