After setting up the Corona Crisis Charity last year to help out-of-work daily-wage workers from Tollywood, Chiranjeevi has now set up oxygen banks in AP and Telangana. Arrangements for the same have been completed and the banks will be functional in a week. These banks have been set up under the auspices of the presidents of the district fan clubs of the actor.
Cylinders will soon be available in Anantapur, Guntur, Srikakulam, Vijayanagaram, Visakhapatnam and West Godavari from Wednesday evening. Banks in Khammam and Karimnagar in Telangana are functional from Wednesday too. Sharing the same news on social media, Chiranjeevi stated that the aim is so no one in the Telugu states dies due to lack of oxygen.
Talking on the occasion, the Acharya actor said, “Ram Charan is looking after all these arrangements. He will be supervised by our eye and blood banks. There will be tracking devices to monitor the oxygen cylinders’ arrival. We will provide cylinders for wherever there’s an urgent need for the same.”
Mission begins. Let there be no deaths due to lack of life saving oxygen. #Covid19IndiaHelp… https://t.co/gIvLC7gZO8
