th birth anniversary, Chiranjeevi took to social media to fondly remember the late actor-politician.
The actor also stated that the legend should receive a posthumous Bharat Ratna for his contribution to this country. He stated that it would not just be an honour to the late NTR but also to the Telugu-speaking people should it happen.
Sharing an old black and white picture from when he met the late personality, he wrote, “Popular singer Bhupen Hazarika was honoured with the Bharat Ratna award after his passing. The same way, Telugu pride and popular national leader NTR must also be honoured with the award. It would be a proud moment for all the Telugu-speaking population across the world. As his 100
th birth anniversary is close, he must be conferred with the award at least by then as a mark of respect. Remember him on his 98
th birth anniversary. (sic)”

Chiranjeevi is not the first actor to believe the same. Many actors, directors and producers have through the years believed the late actor enormously contributed to the fields of cinema and politics, and hence deserves the award. Jr NTR, Balakrishna also remembered NTR on his birth anniversary, so did many Tollywood celebs. Born in 1923, NTR made his debut in 1949 in Mana Desam and has acted in over 300 films.
