Not many are aware but Sheena underwent a major surgery around seven months ago. “I underwent anal fistula surgery. I was on bed rest for the past seven months and only recently, I have started walking with the help of crutches. So this is also the reason why I couldn’t take up any project. Now I am recovering and hopefully within a week or so I will be able to walk without any support. Usually, it takes around a year and a half for people to recover fully. But I am thankful to my mother and husband who have been taking care of me and without them, it wouldn’t have been possible for me to recover so fast,” she said.
Sheena further expressed her desire to do a sitcom on TV in the near future. “I love comedy. My character Dolly Singh in Best Of Luck Nikki was appreciated by many and I had a great time playing the role. I am also keen on doing films but it has to be a prominent role. Usually TV actors – no matter how good actors they are – are mostly given supporting roles. I want to be a part of a movie where my character is not relegated to the background,” she said.
“A lot of TV actors are having a hard time financially because of no work and projects being put on hold because of the pandemic. Many are still waiting for their dues to get cleared from the past shows they have been part of. Even I haven’t got my payment of around 2 lakhs from the producers of my last show. This is very demotivating. The last few months have been really hard on actors. I hope CINTAA takes notice of this and find a solution,” she said.
