Currently, he is shooting in Umbergaon for the show. He says, “It makes a big difference when you move to a smaller town from a city. Talking about how the pandemic has affected his savings and caused financial hardships, he adds, “A few months ago, I faced a lot of financial difficulties. Work had been affected due to the pandemic and maintaining a decent lifestyle was getting difficult. But my well-wishers helped me and I managed to sustain. I also decided to curb my expenses. The pandemic has changed my perception towards many things and the one thing I have learnt is the fact that no matter how high you climb the ladder of success, discipline is what will take you one step further.”
Nirbhay has played Hanuman in three TV shows and even at various events. Ask him if he gets bored of being typecast in mythological roles and he says, “I am very comfortable in all characters that I play and I don’t mind playing Lord Hanuman repeatedly because I am a bhakt. I take whatever comes my way. If it fits my criteria, I don’t mind doing it even though I have essayed the role multiple times in the past.”
In the past few months, the actor has received many offers on OTT platforms, but he says he has rejected them. “I enjoy portraying characters that have strong substance and recall value. I don’t like doing intimate scenes, so that’s the reason I had to reject those roles,” he ends.
