The Delhi girl, who has acted in web series like Godman and Crackdown, moved to Ghaziabad with her parents as soon as they tested positive for COVID. “Our ancestral home is in Ghaziabad and it’s easier for them to isolate there. Thankfully they have mild symptoms and don’t require hospitalisation. But I’m constantly monitoring her situation,” says Tanya, adding, “I have realised that it’s important to be strong and face the situation. I decided that I’m not going to sit and cry but instead fight. The situation in our country is heartbreaking. I see so many SOS requests, with people desperately seeking oxygen, beds, plasma, etc. We are fighting the biggest battle of our lives and we must all come together to overcome it.”
The actress is hopeful that the COVID situation improves soon and she can come back and work in Hyderabad again. “I really enjoyed shooting in Hyderabad. The Telugu film industry treated me with such warmth, I never felt like an outsider. In just three months, I even learned Telugu. I hope to return to Hyderabad soon once the situation gets better,” adds Tanya.
