A National Award-winning filmmaker, Dennis Joseph has delivered many blockbusters and has been instrumental in making Mohanlal and Mammootty into superstars. If Mohanlal reached superstardom after appearing in ‘Rajavinte Makan’, it was ‘New Delhi’ that gave Mammootty’s career a boost, and both of them were scripted by Dennis Joseph.
The legendary screenwriter’s demise has shaken the entire entertainment industry and Mammootty has now bid an emotional farewell to his late friend.
“I am deeply saddened by the untimely demise of Dennis Joseph. A brother-like friend who has been with me through thick and thin is no more. He will be remembered forever through the films he wrote and directed. Rest in peace,” Mammootty wrote in his Facebook note and also shared a throwback picture with him.
Mohanlal too expressed grief and bid adieu to his dear friend. “Dennis was the king of scriptwriting. And I am immensely fortunate to have been able to give life to the characters he created,” Mohanlal said. The actor also shared that he cannot put in words the bond he has with the late filmmaker.
Many other M-Town celebrities have taken to their social media handles to bid adieu to the filmmaker and scriptwriter who made their 1980s and 90s memorable through the films he delivered.
