fame was hospitalised on Tuesday evening in Chennai following a heart attack. Many people from the Kollywood fraternity have been wishing a speedy recovery to him from their social media accounts. He was chosen as the president of the controversial Tamil Film Producers Council
) in the election which was held in November 2020. He had secured 557 votes while his competitors T Rajhendherr and PL Thenappan had received 388 and 87 votes respectively. The election, which was held at MGR Janaki College
in the city, had more than 100 candidates contesting for several posts.

Thenandal Studio Limited, which bankrolled more than 30 films, had announced their latest venture last month. Titled Kapi, the film, which is touted as a live action project with loads of VFX shots, was announced as India’s first giant super hero. Directed by Gokulraj Baskar, the movie, which is made in association with Libra Productions, has story by Kaushik Karra and N Ramasamy and DOP by Aravinnd Singh.
