After playing a number of impressive characters in Bollywood, Sharad Kelkar is all set for his first solo lead. Having played important roles in films such as ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela’, ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’ and ‘Laxmii’, the actor is gearing up for ‘Deja vu’, in which he will be playing the leading man. The film’s release date is yet to be decided given the unpredictable pandemic situation in the country.
In a recent interview, Sharad said that while he was aware of the expectations that rest on the film’s hero, he refuses to let the pressure get to him. The actor said that it was after a lot of deliberation that he signed the small-budget film and that he was confident of the project because of its strong subject. Directed by Abhijeet Warang, the film is said to be a thriller. Some time ago, Sharad had shared the first look of the film on social media and written, “On the auspicious occasion of Gudi Padwa Presenting the first look of my film ‘Deja Vu’. It’s the only feature film in the history of Indian cinema to have a single character in a single location, while the remaining characters will only have their voice-overs. The Direction has been done by @abhijeetwarang. His debut feature film “Picasso” has received a #nationalaward this year.”
