While talking to ETimes TV exclusively last month, the senior actress had credited her family for bouncing back in life after meeting with the tragic accident in which she lost her leg, she had shared, “I really had no choice, for me there were only two paths. Either I start walking or I would have destroyed my life. Destroyed in a sense I would have not lived, actually I didn’t want to live after the accident. But it was because of my parents that I bounced back. Somehow we tend to forget the role of our parents in our life. Probably, my parents were the only reason why I decided to keep going in life. Otherwise I had no other reason. There were so many moments after the accident when I felt why am I alive? But when I looked at my parents I would realise that I have to be alive for them to be alive. And for me to be alive I needed to chase a dream. Because of my parents, as they believed in me, I managed to chase my dream. They allowed me to fly, they told me you should try and we are with you. If any one from my parent’s would have told me why you want to do it, I probably would have not been able to do it. I just wanted to make my parents proud. They were very disappointed with life after my accident. Suddenly, I realised that all their dreams had come crumbling down. So I only prayed to God to give me that one opportunity where I want to give that to them that will make them really proud and not a failure in my life.”
