Experience on KBC 13
The experience that I got on Kaun Banega Crorepati 13 can’t be described in words. I can’t explain the amount of respect, positivity and confidence that I’ve got from the show.
I used to sit with my friends at night and played our quiz show
Ever since I was a kid I wanted to be a part of reality shows. When I was 5/6 years old I was fascinated with reality shows. When KBC started, I really liked the show as it was about knowledge. I made up my mind at that time that one day I want to go on the show and meet Amitabh Bachchan sir. I used to sit with my friends at night and played our quiz show. We used to croon the title music of KBC and play the game. And whenever KBC’s new season aired our interest for the show got stronger. Finally when the online registration was launched I got surety that I will be able to make it someday on the show. It has been a long journey.
My fingers froze while answering the FFF Triple Test
There is a change in Fastest Finger First Triple Test. Now, the contestants have to answer three questions correctly to be on the hot seat. I can’t tell you how I felt when I was answering the triple questions. My fingers had freezed while answering the questions and was very nervous because I knew everything depended on the Fastest Finger First Triple Test. I was quite scared about it.
Like the audience I also started rooting for Mr Bachchan
Honestly, speaking before playing FFF Triple test, when I heard Mr Bachchan’s voice, the KBC music and felt his entry when he said Namashkar, I actually forgot everything and why I was on the show. Like the audience I also started rooting for him. I completely enjoyed the moment because I had always felt this through TV but this time I was part of the moment. When my vision was good I had even watched it on television. It felt like a dream come true moment.
Just hearing Big B‘s voice, his presence boosted my confidence
Just hearing his voice, his presence boosted my confidence. We have always heard about him that he is humble and we have seen that on TV. But I got to experience that personally. We all know how down to earth he is and I experienced that when he offered me water and tissue. I will remember this for a lifetime how special he made me feel on the show. Not just me, even my mom and dad and my family felt respected when they came on the show. This will be the best moment of my life.
Rs 1 crore question was the most risky of my entire game
When I sat on the hot seat I tackled each question as it came. Sometimes I was nervous, sometimes I was confident. The journey was full of ups and downs. However, the most difficult situation where I felt that it would be risky was the Rs 1 crore question. I was very nervous because the amount and risk both were huge. If I would go wrong, I would have fallen on Rs 3,20,000 and that would have been a huge loss. Whatever efforts I had put in to reach there at that stage would have got wasted.
I went into depression for 6 months after my accident
While I was in my 11th class in 2011, I was going for my chemistry class when I met with an accident. I was just 15 year-old. At that age people have so many dreams in their eyes and they have career goals and I was also one of them. The accident came as a huge shock to all of us and it was unexpected. I was about to enter 12th standard and we had never imagined that something of that sort could happen to me. I went into depression for 6 months. I had stopped smiling for 6 months. But my family was always supportive and positive. My parents always motivated me, even my younger sister and brother pushed me to be positive in life. They played an important role in life.
I want to start inclusive coaching
Whatever amount I have won on the show, I can’t reveal that. I want to start inclusive coaching. We have an inclusive university, but not coaching. It will be for competitive purposes where the differently abled and normal kids will study together. We will prepare them for UPSC, CPCS. I also took an initiative to teach the visually able kids ‘Mental Maths‘. I want to set up my father’s small business which completely came to zero during the lockdown. I want to re-establish that business so that their future is secured.
