“Lockdown was the time when we thought of starting a family as soon as we felt that there is no work for the next few months or two years actually with the way the pandemic was going. But I am a person who always keeps thinking. So, I was very clear that without knowing what the future is going to be like and if I get stuck at home, it will take a lot of toll on my mind and body. I felt I won’t be able to handle that kind of stress. We decided that till the time life doesn’t come back to normalcy before we think of starting a family or discussing the plan. And right now, so much work is happening that I am really enjoying this phase a little too much. I am not in a mood to take a break right now. But it is something that we will discuss in future. It is going to happen when the right time comes. Keith and I are not in any kind of rush, it is something that we will discuss in future of course,” she said.
She further added, “It is very tough to plan anything right now and kudos to the people who have taken the call during the lockdown. My sister had a baby in the lockdown. If you are one of the lucky ones who had a baby in the beginning of the lockdown then it has worked well in the timeline. For the rest of us it is kind of scary right now to take that kind of big call. And it is going to be a year or two for any of us to arrive at that kind of big decision.”
Rochelle, who is married to actor Keith Sequeira, talked about her lockdown and how the couple made the best of it, “We actually had a great time. At the start of the lockdown our church had organised a course for married people and we got enrolled for it. That was for six weeks and we learnt a lot about each other that we didn’t know. We had a lot of fun together during the break. We did a lot of binge watching together. We cooked, cleaned, and worked out together. But towards the end of it, it also got it to a point where we were bored of seeing each other’s faces. We then got a chance to see our family, meet them and spend time with them. It was a lot of fun,” he concluded.
