Working in the pandemic has its own challenges, she admits. “It was like a double-edged sword. On the one hand, I was happy to work rather than be caged at home, and on the other hand, I was nervous about getting infected and bringing the virus home. After a hectic one year, I am happy to have some time to spend with my daughter and family,” she says.
Talking about how balancing home and work wasn’t easy, she says, “I used to come home feeling guilty because at times I would leave when my daughter was starting school and come back by the time she was asleep. I also spent two months away from her while we were shooting out of Mumbai. It has not been easy and probably one of the most challenging parts of my journey as a mother. Sometimes, I feel she’s growing up too fast, but I know she’s proud of me and that makes it all worth it.”
