Talking about her preparations for tomorrow, she says, “I celebrate it every year with a lot of enthusiasm even if I am working. But this year as I’m at home and not shooting, I plan to make it even more special. I’m decorating everything by myself and will make Krishna bhog at home. I’ll make makhan, nariyal laddoo, halwa, fruit salad and kheer. My daughter Sara wants me to bake a birthday cake for Krishna, so I will be doing that too. We are all excited. I have done some online shopping, got a new dress, jewellery and other decoration items for my Krishna idol.”
Sharing her childhood memories, Kajal says, “When I was a kid, my mother used to celebrate the festival with the same excitement. She would dress up Lord Krishna each year with new clothes and there was a jhula for him in which I used to keep the idol and keep swinging it. I am following everything that my mom used to do and I see my daughter also adapting these things. It feels good to see that she will also celebrate the festival like we have been since years.”
Kajal has featured in shows like Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, Saath Nibhaana Saathiya and Naagin 5 among others.
