Himani manages to score well in the Fastest finger First – Triple Test round and sits on the hot seat to play the game with host Amitabh Bachchan. Upon sitting on the chair, she tells Big B that she was on cloud nine after hearing his voice. He introduces Himani Bundela from Agra, who is visually impaired and is a Maths teacher. He also plays a video of Himani in which she can be seen enjoying life with her family and says that she misses teaching her school kids physically. She shares that her aim of coming on the show is to run an awareness campaign in all the central government schools for disable kids. Host Mr Bachchan talks to Himani and asks her how she manages to stay so happy and positive in her life.
Big B starts the game with her by reading out the Rs 1000 question. What will you add in milk to extract paneer from it?
And the answer is: Lemon juice
Amitabh Bachchan and Himani both talk about the game of chess. She shares with him that she feels the game and plays it.
Without any confusion and giving back-to-back answers, Himani manages to cross the first hurdle and wins Rs 10,000.
Himani then goes to teach Mental Maths to host Amitabh Bachchan and he learns it with full concentration. The situation leaves the audience in splits of laughter. Big B tells Himani now he will go home and show off his mental math skills.
Himani Bundela shares she wants to open an inclusive coaching to train handicapped children for competitive public service exams with the prize money.
Next Mr Bachchan plays the opening tune of a Hindi song and asks Himani to guess it. She answers it correctly saying: Tera Rang Balle Balle (from Soldier) and goes on to win Rs 20,000.
Big B asks Himani about her favourite singer and she shares with him that it is Jubin Nautiyal.
He then presents the 7th question of the night for Rs 40,000 for Himani. The question was: Serum Institute of India, manufacturer of COVID-19 vaccine, COVIDSHEILD is founded by which business family? Himani without any confusion answers it accurately, Poonawala Family. She wins the amount.
During the break Mr Bachchan gives water and tissues to Himani and she gets surprised when she learns it is him. Big B tells her not to worry he is double vaccinated and has stayed 25 days in the hospital.
Big B and Himani have a conversation and the former asks her how she lost her vision. Himani narrates that when she was in class 11th in 2011 and was travelling for her chemistry tuition, she met with an accident on a bike. She sustained multiple injuries on her body at that time. At the time of the accident she did not realise that she had injuries in her eyes as well. After a few days she felt that she is losing vision in her left eye, when they showed it to the doctor, he told them that her retina had detached from her eyes. The doctor advised them to go for a surgery in the next two days to not lose vision completely. Himani revealed that she underwent 4 surgeries in 8 months for retina detachment and she lost her vision after the fourth surgery. She can’t see from her right eye and the left eye was the supporting eye but it has been diagnosed with glaucoma which is still under treatment. Big B spoke to Himani’s father and he revealed that they had lost all hopes, but it was their daughter who gave them strength to fight back.
Mr Bachchan asked another question to Himani for Rs 80,000 and without any hesitation, she gave the correct answer and won the amount. The question was: What is the oldest Seven Wonders of the Ancient World? And the answer was: Pyramids of Giza.
The host of the show, Amitabh Bachchan shared that Himani is the first contestant in the history of KBC who is visually impaired.
He then reads out the next question for Rs 1,60,000. Which common portfolios have Rajnath Singh, Nirmala Sitharaman, Arun Jaitley all held in the Union Cabinet? And the answer was: Defence. Himani takes the help of ‘Audience Poll’ and wins the amount.
Bachchan asked the next question for Rs 3,20,000 to Himani and the question was In 2021, Bhavani Devi became the first Indian to qualify for which Olympic event? She answers the question very swiftly and wins the cash. The answer for the same was: Fencing.
Amitabh Bachchan and Himani later discuss how she finished her studies after the accident. She revealed that post the accident she had lost all hopes and was in a state of depression for 6 months. But once while reading a newspaper, her father came across an article about Asia’s first rehabilitation university in Lucknow where differently abled and general students study together. She decided to study there after 12th and was topper in her class for all the four semesters and won an award from the Governor. She even bagged a medal in the Marathon. Himani doesn’t use any walking stick as she finds it uncomfortable.
Mr Bachchan resumes the game and asks the next question for Rs 6,40,000 which was: Who wrote Ghanshyam Vyas under the pseudonym? Himani shows an excellent display of her game and answers: KM Munshi. She wins the amount.
Himani gets ready to answer her 12th question and Big B reads out for her: Which is the highest mountain in Antarctica?
Without wasting any moment, she answers correctly: Vinson Massif. After hearing her answer, Big B couldn’t stop himself from praising her. He says she is playing an unbelievable and fantastic game.
Big B presents the next question for Rs 25,00,000 and Himani yet again leaves the host spellbound by answering the question without using the lifeline. The question was: Which musician of Maihar Gharana has been the guru of sitarist Nikhil Banerji, and of bansuri players Hari Prasad Chaurasia and Nityanand Haldipur? Himani gives the right answer: Annapurna Devi
Mr Bachchan then surprised Himani by making a call to her favourite singer Jubin Nautiyal. She couldn’t believe that her dream came true and was over the moon after talking to Jubin. The singer sings his song ‘Humnava Mere’ for her and Himani also croons with him. She even promised to meet him soon and says that she will gift something really big to Mr Bachchan for making the call happen.
Himani reached Rs 50,00,000 with three lifelines in hand. For the next question for Rs 50,00,000, Himani decides to opt for a lifeline, ‘Flip The Question’. However, before flipping the question, Big B asks Himani to take a guess and to everyone’s surprise she selects the right option. Big B is amazed with her knowledge and praises her. The question was: Who was the first lady scientist elected as the general president of the Indian Science Congress in 1975? The answer for the same was: Asima Chatterjee.
She choses ‘My City My State’ as her subject of interest. Himani gets stuck on the question and ends up using her other two lifelines – 50-50, ‘Ask The Expert’ for this question:
