“From Gwalior to Indoor by train. It’s been almost 20 odd years I traveled in a train. Brought back memories. Shared my little funny stories with Mani Ratnam and Ravi Varman. Btw our destination is Maheshwar. Another 2 hours by road. For ponnin selvan shoot (sic),” the actor shared on a post on his Instagram page.
The Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru actor also posted a video from the Indore railway station, in which he also had captured Mani Ratnam on the move. “Right now, I am at the Indore railway station. We have come here for shoot… for Ponniyin Selvan. It has been almost 20 years since I’ve gone on a train. It was a good experience. You can see Mani sir walking in a red T-shirt there. Behind him is his associate Dhana. And Shiva is also ahead of them. It’s good,” he says in the video. The actor is said to be playing the character of king Madhuranthaga Chozhan in the film.
Until last week, the Ponniyin Selvan team was shooting in Orchha in Madhya Pradesh. Actress Trisha had also shared a picture of the shoot happening at a temple in the town. Jayam Ravi had revealed that he has finished shooting for his portions in the movie. Vikram, too, has completed shooting for his scenes. The buzz is that the team will be completing the entire shoot of the two-part movie in September. The film is slated to hit screens in 2022.
