“I was inspired by several real-life incidents while scripting this film. We are coming across several news stories of sexual abuse every day, but do not take any effort to ensure that it doesn’t happen anywhere else. Just like coronavirus, which originated in China, but has today reached even a hut in our village, we should realise that this is an issue that can come to our own doors. The safety of women is more important than money or material. But we fail to realise this,” says the director, who has wrapped up the talkie portions of the film. He will be shooting the songs and stunts in a few days.
Velan has brought back music director Barani (of Paarvai Ondre Pothume fame) to compose the music of this film. “He is more of a friend to me. He has been waiting to make a re-entry, and this film will become a good platform for him. He has finished composing one song and is busy working on the other two. He has been working really hard to make this a solid comeback,” he says.
