Roshan Mathew has now spoken about how he landed up to play Ibrahim. In his latest social media post, Roshan Mathew has shared that even he was surprised when Prithviraj Sukumaran offered him the role of Ibrahim.
“Prithviraj Sukumaran gave me my first narration of Kuruthi while Supriya Menon sat opposite me, keenly watching. I’d naturally assumed that Prithvi would play Ibrahim, so I was wondering which character he had called me for. After the narration, he casually said that he wanted me for Ibrahim. I stared back at him stupidly and then at Supriya. I said nothing for a couple of minutes and they waited patiently for me to find my words, smiling a knowing smile. They knew that was how I would react. As I sat there wondering if it was all a big joke, one thought that crossed my mind was that this was probably the only actor-producer duo that would make a decision as unconventional as this and then take it forward with as much force and conviction and they did. I’ll always be grateful that I got to do this with you both. And I hope there will be more,” Roshan shared.
