Going by the trailer, ‘Seetimaarr’ is a story of women athletes who gave their best to make the country proud. The story creates a bridge between the women athletes in the country and the audience. ‘Seetimaarr’ narrates a fictional story about the Indian women’s national field kabaddi team. Gopichand impresses us with his performance as the captain of the women’s Kabaddi team, Karthik Subramanyam, who pushes his team towards their goal, as shown in the trailer. The trailer is ‘dedicated to all women’ and has shots of the women kabaddi players working hard to improve their game.
Director Sampath Nandi is known for making nuanced, action entertainers, and his fans are eagerly awaiting the release of ‘Seetimaarr.’ It’s for the first time that he has made a sports drama. Also starring Tamannaah Bhatia, Digangana Suryavanshi, Bhumika Chawla, Rahman, Tarun Arora, Rao Ramesh, Posani Krishna Murali, Tanikella Bharani and Preethi Asrani, ‘Seetimaarr’ marks Gopichand’s second time union with director Sampath Nandi. ‘Goutham Nanda’ was their previous collaboration.
Set in the backdrop of a women’s kabaddi team, Gopichand allegedly went through training to fit into his role as a kabaddi coach. Produced by Srinivasa Chitturi under Srinivasaa Silver Screen, ‘Seetimaarr’ has music by Mani Sharma. The technical crew of this film included Soundarrajan for cinematography and Tammiraju for editing.
